Providing Development Spend Reports to the UK Affordable Housing Sector

Funding Affordable Homes (FAH) is a social impact investment company funding government-regulated affordable housing across the UK. Working alongside housing associations and local authorities, FAH delivers homes across all tenures, from affordable rent to shared ownership, helping to address one of the country’s most pressing social challenges.

Webshape were commissioned to design and build a WordPress website that clearly communicates FAH’s investment proposition, regulatory compliance, governance structure and growing portfolio to investors, housing partners and regulators.

FAH operates as both an investment vehicle and a regulated housing association through FAHHA, serving very different audiences, from investors and housing partners to residents and regulators. Communicating clearly to each group, without conflating the two, required careful structural thinking from the outset.

The site also needed to meet the transparency requirements set by the Regulator of Social Housing (RSH), covering consumer standards, complaints handling and resident satisfaction, while simultaneously building investor confidence through portfolio evidence, annual reports and governance documentation.

Webshape designed and built a dual-site architecture, with the main FAH site serving investors and partners, and a dedicated second site for FAHHA covering housing association and resident-facing content. Clear navigation separates the two, ensuring each audience finds what they need without friction. Portfolio case study pages showcase completed projects, while a structured document library houses annual reports, financial statements and governance documentation to support due diligence.

Compliance pages covering consumer standards, complaints, resident satisfaction and privacy policy were built to reflect RSH requirements. The site runs on WordPress, giving the FAH team full control to update documents and reports as needed. Webshape continues to support the site on a monthly maintenance retainer, keeping everything secure, current and running smoothly.

FAH now has a clear, professional web presence that supports its dual role as an investment vehicle and regulated housing association. Investors and partners can quickly locate portfolio evidence, governance documentation and financial reports, while residents and housing partners accessing FAHHA have straightforward routes to compliance information.

The site is structured to grow alongside the portfolio, with new case studies and documents added regularly through ongoing maintenance, ensuring FAH’s online presence keeps pace with the organisation’s expanding work.
